i know its very easy to answer the comical "do you want to live forever" kinda questions but letting go of humanity can seem to not be worth it. look at how hoseon and bongwon fought for 13 years rooting in hoseon still not making peace with the fact that bongwon turned him into a vampire. and even that, bongwon did to save hoseon from dying
